All events are free and open to the pubic unless otherwise noted!

Friday, December 1

  • Newport Holiday Stroll 10am – 6pm: Enjoy in-store specials, shopping and dining discounts and holiday cheer city-wide!
  • Bayberry Inn Seas & Greetings Open House 4-6pm: Enjoy seasonal treats and a free gift.

Saturday, December 2

  • Newport Holiday Stroll 10am – 6pm: Enjoy in-store specials, shopping and dining discounts and holiday cheer city-wide!
  • Guided Shopping Tour:FREE, but required confirmation
    • Rsvp HERE
    • Itinerary:
      2:30-3:15pm Meeting Point: Lila Delman Real Estate
      3:15pm – 6pm Guided Shopping Tour of a selection of Newport Holiday Stroll stores
      6pm Enjoy complimentary appetizer from one of our generous restaurant sponsors (end of tour)
      Later dine (independently of tour) at one of our many generous restaurant sponsors and enjoy 15% off your entire meal with receipt from the Stroll
  • 47th Annual Bowen’s Wharf Tree Lighting:4:30 pm – Frosty the Snowman
    5:00 pm – Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long (live music)
    6:00 pm – Tree Lighting & Santa arrives

Sunday, December 3

  • Newport Holiday Stroll 10am – 4pm: Enjoy in-store specials, shopping and dining discounts and holiday cheer city-wide!
  • Bayberry Inn {Bubbles & Bites} 12pm. Holiday entertaining made stress-free and fun – a cooking class and tasting with Chef Michael Hervieux. Limited to 12 participants. $50 pre registration fee is required: kristin@bayberrynewport.com
    The Bayberry Inn is located at 20 Kay Street in Newport
  • Newport Toy Theater 2:30pm, 3:00pm & 3:30pm: First Snow by Rebecca Kelly & Rupert Nesbitt, a short holiday tale performed by paper puppets, a delight for all ages. Seats are very limited; running time: 10 minutes, Seaman’s Church Institute, 18 Market Square, Newport. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to performance.
    About Toy Theater: Newport artists Rupert Nesbitt and Rebecca Kelly hope to inspire interest in the lost form of performance art called toy theater. Toy theater is a form of miniature theater that was a popular Victorian parlor entertainment.  Constructed of cardboard with paper sets and actors these small stages were the perfect tiny settings to reenact  popular theatricals and operas of the period or stage your own original play.

Friday, December 8

  • Bayberry Inn Seas & Greetings Open House 4-6pm: Enjoy seasonal treats and a free gift.
  • Newport Skating Center Grand Opening and Tree Lighting 5:00pm: Season opening night

Saturday, December 9

  • Ice Queen Visits Newport: Sasha FireGypsy will be performing her Ice Queen act throughout downtown Newport 2:00pm – 3:30pm. Ms. FireGypsy will be in costume, on stilts and posing for photographs.
