Complimentary parking for the Stroll has generously been donated by The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina based on availability and valid throughout the Stroll December 1-3 and 8-10 with receipt of purchase from local shop.
The City of Newport operates five public parking lots in Newport. Parking is free in these lots from November 1st – April 3oth, those lots include:
- Mary Street
- Long Wharf
- King Park
On-Street Parking Meters
Metered parking is in effect from May 1st through October 31st, meaning that parking at these meters in December is free. Parking at an on-street metered space is still limited to a maximum of three hours.
Resident Parking Streets
The Residential Parking Program restricts curbside parking on designated residential streets from May 1st to October 1st of each year to holders of Resident Parking Permits, visitor passes or temporary permits. Under this program, Residential Parking streets are either nighttime restricted (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM), 24 hour a day restricted, or day-time restricted (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays).
Appropriate signs are erected on streets that have been designated residential parking streets and include whether they are nighttime (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM), daytime (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM), or all day (24 hours) residential parking streets.
