Dear Newport Retailers,
As you may have heard, WhatsUpNewp and several local business owners have been working to put together an effective retail initiative for the 2016 holiday season. We hope you will join us in making the inaugural Newport Holiday Stroll a major success. The stroll will consist of two weekends strongly promoting shopping at local retail stores along with New England holiday cheer and family fun, Saturday, December 3 and 4, 10 and 11.
The Newport Holiday Stroll differs from other holiday events in town because it is being organized by retailers with simple, direct call to action. We believe Newport is New England’s Premier Holiday Shopping Destination and should be promoted as such with all retailers uniting for two consecutive weekends during the holiday shopping season. The Newport Holiday Stroll Facebook Page has already received more enthusiasm in one week for the two-weekend event posts than some other initiatives have received in years.
We encourage you to join now at the level that makes sense for your business. All stores will be listed for free. Follow this link for all of the other levels of participation and join today – http://newportholidaystroll.com/join/
To participate you agree to offer the following:
– Store hours 10am – 8pm for all four days, Saturday, December 3, Sunday, December 4, Saturday, December 10 & Sunday, December 11
– Decorate your store with white lights
– Complimentary gift wrapping
– In store specials (this can be anything you choose including, but not limited to gift with purchase, sales, discounts, refreshments, etc)
